Effexor

How to Get Off Effexor Safely: There is Hope. There is a Solution.February 20, 2009 - How to Get Off Effexor Safely is now available on Amazon.com. and as an eBook for immediate download. This book details how to eliminate existing Effexor side effects and how to stop new Effexor side effects before they even begin.

Handling Effexor side effects quickly and allowing a person to fully taper off Effexor while they feel well is detailed in the book.

If you would like to purchase , How to Get Off Effexor Safely, in paperback  click here. You can also use the links on the left side of each page for general Effexor tapering and how to handle Effexor side effects.

If you are planning to taper off Effexor XR or if you are currently trying to withdrawal off Effexor XR, you and your physician need to have a plan in place. Ideally, you have found The Road Back before reducing the Effexor XR the first time.

With Effexor XR only available in dosages of 150 mg, 75 mg, and 37.5 mg the reduction of this medication can only be accomplished with large reductions.

If you have been opening the capsule and trying to sort and count the balls to reduce the Effexor XR please take special note. The people that have tried this approach seem to do ok until the second or third reduction and thereafter have a very difficult time with withdrawal. Knowing which balls contain what is impossible. We strongly urge you to avoid this approach.

The Road Back program has a specific method for tapering off Effexor XR allowing the use of the large reductions that are the only alternative with Effexor XR.

The Road Back program agrees with the suggestions offered by the pharmaceutical Wyeth, for the discontinuance of Effexor XR.

However, if you have tried to taper off Effexor XR you very well know a slow and successful taper is not always possible to do without withdrawal side effects and some of those side effects may be extreme.

The Road Back program is a patent pending program developed to help eliminate Effexor XR side effects that often cause a person to not be able to taper off the Effexor XR.

The most common Effexor XR side effects reported to The Road Back are; nausea, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, electrical "brain zaps" and aches and pains in the joints.

The "brain Zaps" are usually the Effexor XR side effect that stops most people from being able to discontinue the Effexor XR.

The Road Back does offer a solution for all side effects caused by Effexor EX discontinuance.

The term used for reducing Effexor XR is called "taper." The Road Back uses the word taper, as well as a word we coined almost 10 years ago, pre-taper. The pre-taper is the time spent before reducing the medication.

Having your body set up correctly before tapering Effexor XR is vitally important and this is accomplished during the pre-taper.

Using our Effexor XR pre-taper a person should be at a point where they do not feel Effexor XR side effects or if they do, the side effects are extremely low and manageable.

This allows the patient and physician to know The Road Back program is going to work for the patient, have the patient feel good before a reduction is ever started and all that is left is to reduce or taper the Effexor XR in a structured manner.

The Road Back also offers advice to the prescribing physician how often to reduce the medication.

If you have found The Road Back site and are suffering from Effexor XR side effects, there are a few things you can do immediately to assist with the symptoms. However, check with your physician before taking any supplement.

Nausea - Drink 2 cups of ginger tea each day. Sweeten with honey if needed. If this tea is going to work for you it will work within 3 days. There is no need to continue the tea if there is no help in 3 days.

Aches and pains in joints - Take a fresh lemon and cut in half. Squeeze the lemon juice in a 8 ounce glass of water and drink. Do this twice a day. If this is going to help you will feel the relief within 3 days. If no change after 3 days there is no need to continue,

Brain Zaps - Brain zaps are described by people as an electrical jolt feeling that tends to run from the base of the neck up to the lower part of the skull.

Find an Omega 3 fish oil that is high in EPA and take at least 3 grams of the Omega 3 daily. This may give you a decrease in the brain zaps but you will probably need to order the Ultimate Omega 3, CalesiumD and vitamin E from TRB Health, www.trbhealth.com  to fully eliminate the brain zaps.

The Road Back is licensed to use a patent pending application of the Ultimate Omega 3, CalesiumD and vitamin E for the symptom of brain zaps during antidepressant withdrawal.

If you have not started to reduce Effexor XR

If you have not started to taper the Effexor XR read chapters 1-8 and chapters 10 and 12 located on the left side of this page.

You may want to print those chapters as well as chapter 19 and take to your physician.

The manufacturer of Effexor XR offers some discontinuance advice to the prescribing. Click here to read.

If you have already started to reduce Effexor XR or happened to quit cold turkey

Start with chapter 16 located on the left side of this page. Follow the instructions closely and make sure you let your physician know what you have done and wish to do at this time.

You can make it back!

"I just wanted to thank everybody at The Road Back for helping me getting off Effexor! Your program has helped me immensely. I followed the tapering program to a "T" (except for the fish oil, I used flaxseed oil tablets for ethical reasons.)

It has almost been a year since my last dose of Effexor. I had been on it for 7 years and thought that I would be on it for life.

Your program gave me the freedom I needed to realize I didn't have to be chained to an anti-depressant for the rest of my life. This accomplishment in my life has led to an offset of other healthy changes in my life.

I have lost nearly 45 pounds! I tried dieting and exercising while on Effexor and could never lose more than 10 - 15 pounds. As soon as I got off the Effexor the pounds just melted away! I don't crave the same things I used to. I just feel more in control of my life and what I put into my body. I even gave up coffee after 10 years of having it every morning! I am totally chemical free and feel so free! I eat a totally plant based diet, trying to eat as much raw fruits and veggies as possible.

I feel more in touch with nature now that my body composition is mainly comprised of natural substances. I just feel like a new woman! And it all started by giving up Effexor. Thank you so much for all your hard work in research and support. You guys are changing the world!

With much gratitude." Renee in Ohio
